ScapeCrunch forum use tip: work the "What's new" button.

As ScapeCrunch becomes a regular visit for you, it's important to become familiar with its navigation so that you use your time seeing what's new since your last visit. This avoids having to visit every forum to see what has happened.

A great way to do this is simply to click on the "What's new" button at the top of the page in the navigation bar. It has a down-pointing triangle next to it. If you click on the triangle, it provides you with options. If you click on the button itself, it takes you to the What's new page where you will see Latest posts with more options.

Here is some of what's available for you:
  • New posts - a list of posts since your last visit.
  • New resource - a soon-to-be active library of resources for planted aquariums.
  • New profile posts - new posts made to member profiles.
  • Your news feed - if you follow someone (you know you can follow members, right?), activity related to them is shown here.
  • Latest activity - a stream of the latest activity on the site.
I make it a habit to visit ScapeCrunch in the mornings while I'm having my coffee. First thing I do is hit the new posts button to see what's happened since my last visit.

Enjoy the ScapeCrunch, my friends. This is a site built for us and by us. Please post any questions and recommendations on how to make this site more valuable to you.

All the best,

Art
