A great community is all about its members. That's you, me, and all of us, working together to make ScapeCrunch valuable, entertaining and generally a great online home for us all.

Like every organization, it has expenses every month that need to be paid to keep the lights on and the wheels turning. Some of ScapeCrunch's expenses are fixed every month, we also do have one-off expenses for website design, system add-ons and special features.

Some of the special features that are slated for release in 2024 are a lesson's feature that will allow you to take specific courses to boost your planted aquarium knowledge, a weekly podcast and more features designed to help you with your planted aquarium journey.

While ScapeCrunch will always be free, it's wonderful that some of you are asking for other ways to help us defray the costs. Here are some ways to help:
  • Become a Supporting Member - it's just $2.50 per month (cost of a short black coffee at Starbucks) and you get cool benefits and merch;
  • Purchase from our Sponsors - for example, when you purchase products from The 2Hr Aquarist and use the coupon code "scapecrunch" you get 10% off your purchase and we get a small commission at no additional cost to you; and
  • Give back in kind by engaging with the discussion, volunteer for our open positions and tell others about our community.
As always, THANK YOU for being here.

All the best,

SIMG_6938.jpegporting my ScapeCrunch Water Change Towel with belt clip! Am I the only one that balances a towel on my shoulder to do a water change?

This built-in belt clip makes it easy to have the towel hanging without balancing. It also allows me to hang the towel in my cabinet to let it dry. Always available when I need it.

If you want one, please consider becoming a Supporting Member. Unfortunately, due to international shipping costs, only available to our US-based members.

How I use it:
  • Trimming plants and my arm gets wet or I have water dripping down the glass - I keep the towel on my belt so I can quickly swipe and let it hang.
  • I dry scissors and tweezers right after I use them.
  • The occasional swipe of forehead when sweat builds up (I'm in Florida so it's hot).
