Away back in the misty dawn of planted tanks..

.. before CO2art, FZone, Green Leaf Aquatics or UNS were even a twinkle in an investor's eye..

...in a time without commercial planted tank regulators, not even ADA, when sugar-and-yeast DIY was the norm and treasured sources for Fabco needle-valves and the secret workings of the Clippard Mouse manifold were passed from hand to hand on forums like holy writ..

They won't toot their own horns so I'll do it for them. Seriously, if you need to know anything, I mean anything about how to source / build / repair lab grade dual stage regulators.. where to find and match the most bulletproof needle valve or obscure small post-body fitting.. Or even how to unfark the tiny washer or micron tolerance elastic valve-door bits that just went ping! out of your solenoid when you opened it like an idiot...

They have the goods!

I just start reading Yugang's thread and first impression was it is a bigger size co2 bell with bigger surface contact area and longer contact time(fast water flow), turned out his design of co2 bell is really efficient.

I have had a lot of problems with this connection type. I have pieces that I cannot connect to our usual quarter inch gas connections. Why type are these? European or something?
 
I'd like to refer here to what I believe is a very valuable contribution on UKAPS. Regulators have been discussed a lot, but I had not seen this theoretical perspective yet:

That's good to know, the one I have mentioned above is garbage. Currently just using the regulator to control.
