Following…. Just broke my glass inflow
I love Green Leaf Aquariums Tungsten pipes personally. Can’t recommend them enough.

Hi, can you let me know the specific model that you have. I see that they are 304 stainless steel model. Is that the version that you have ? I am looking for a 17 mm non-skimmer version for a 60x40x40 cm tank. The one that GLA has is a 20 cm one with another 20 cm extension which I thought would be too long for my tank.

These are the couple I have:

Been a customer of GLA for almost 10 years or so now. They’re the bomb!

I was just browsing GLA this morning and I saw the stainless pipes and instantly remembered this post. Can’t go wrong with GLA. The 304 stainless is a nice touch, algae won’t be able to stick to it very well and it should be easy to clean.
It’s on the way !! I narrowed it down to Landen and GLA and finally got GLA since @DutchMuch recommended it.

Ok guys just a recap from my journal - Got it from GLA. Looks great but had 1 acrylic holder and 1 steel holder and their email response to get another steel holder was that these are how they are made. So now one would have to buy a separate steel holder. So that is 60$ for the pipes, 10$ for the extension, 15$ for shipping and would have to buy a seperate steel holder from Amazon - so definitely on the expensive side compared to others available on Amazon. Possibly better quality but Landen had it as 304 steel as well.

Apologies if I’m misunderstanding, but they informed you that’s how they come? That’s incorrect.

Here’s a picture of both my steel holders, that came as is in the box.

They basically said they have no control of it since these tubes are made separately but they just put it together as a kit. They apparently don’t have brackets separately so they can’t send me one. I sent a firmer email back asking for a refund. Overall very disappointed with GLA. Also found that their reviews are screened, meaning if you post a review it does not automatically load and is screened, which explains their five star reviews for most things. Given your experience with the extension as well looks like this is a site with quality control problem. In an expensive hobby like this where there are so many places to choose from probably GLA is not a good choice.

My MiOYOOW stainless lily pipes arrived today and my first impression is very positive. So positive in fact, I think I'll replace the Aquario Neo pipes on my main display tank and see how these workout.

I buy dry salts from them. Once when the delivery went to the wrong house, they were going to replace the whole package at no cost to me. They didn’t have to, because a couple of hours later someone brought it to my house, but I was impressed at the good customer service.

Thanks @Kwyet and @Koan for sharing your experience. They have not responded to my repeat query on the metal brackets. It seems rather trivial but when one pays premium one expects premium. There is also an aspect of acknowledging mistake, but they essentially put it on the manufacturer. I am frustrated with this but going to stop commenting on this anymore, to stop a negative vibe in my Scapecrunch presence.

I just want to conclude that they did not keep up good standards on my purchase and will not be using any GLA products in the future or recommending them.
