Old tank now, 15 years old , 70 gallon. New tank I've been glacial about setting up. Today I did manage to get the ceiling popcorn removed and wife demands an asbestos test so that slowed things down another few weeks. Now I can pain the area and add the lighting. Each light needs a new circuit board to work with the app, so that will be another day etc. Drilling the over flows, paint the ceiling will be done this week. Then the hanging of the lights with the the next step, the adding of the sump and then the automated over flow drain for auto water changes. Scaping it ...is a whole ball of other wax. Fortunately I have a lot of wood and stone. Hardscape will not be too crazy. Distracts from the plants. Will have ample fern and mosses/liverworts etc. New stuff folks have not seen much in tanks.
New tank is 72"L x24"Hx 30"deep. 3/4" glass, starfire etc. WEEK Aqua 430A lights(6). The autowater change will also work on the 70 gallon. I do have another twin 70 gallon as well in the garage that may get moved inside. I have 320 gallons worth of cisterns outside for the bonsai. Goal is to use that as my hand irrigation water. It'll(cisterns) have fish and plants in them also. I'll be 112 years old when I'm done at this pace.
