This time of year always brings on a serious case of Koi pond and watergarden envy ⛩️ 🏞️ ⛩️
But where I live now does not lend itself to building a big beautiful pond.

Rumor has it forum members have made all manner of Koi ponds and outdoor water garden features.

Let's see what you've done!

I’ve had various ponds at different houses, but at my current (and final) home I created this 2500g pond out of a custom built, powder coated aluminum tank, due to space constraints. It is essentially like a giant outdoor aquarium, with 15 koi and 3 large goldfish.
It is my pride and joy!
That is awesome! Beautiful koi. Once I finish school and move out of my parents house I want to build something big like this to house koi.

I have a small pond I built for my 17 year old red eared slider turtles. They were gifted to me when I was 5 and to my families surprise I still have them. I added goldfish a year ago that I've really enjoyed. I've slowly been adding more plants around the pond. It's been a big distraction from my studies lol. Screenshot_20240622_184126_Gallery.jpg
Here's the stream I added this year.

It's gotten a bit of algae on the rocks but I'm gonna be adding a lot of snails to help with it. I also noticed tadpoles recently which is exciting!

Feeding the turtles and golfish

Wow I’m jealous! I had sliders when I was in high school/college but my knowledge isn’t what it is now. I had a female that LOVED to escape her 55 gallon home with a basking area i custom built above the tank. I’d have to search for her in my basement from time to time because she’d always find a way to escape the tank!

What a great pond thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Luckily mine havent tried leaving, but one of my turtles just loves coming to the door asking for food if I miss one day of feeding. 20240417_140255.jpg

Haha, I am not sure she just showed up by our house one day and stayed. I've been wondering what she's mixed with because she's much smaller than other huskies.
