Here you go
Ive ordered there before
That is where I got the 3L bags from. They don't have the 9L bags and I called and they aren't expecting anymore for several months. I need 2 9L bags which would be 6 3L bags. The cost difference is pretty significant. I even sent a message directly to ADA today. I'll see what I find.

I dose all macros right after a water change to bring the nutrients levels back up. It's referred to as front end loading. For some a large dose right after a water change and then two more doses later in the week works well.

I do dose micros daily but it's my routine to walk over the tank every morning with my coffee and toss the micros in.

With macros it all has to do with accumulation and how large and often water changes are. If you dose daily your nutrient levels will be very low after a water change then gradually rise as you dose throughout the week. So not stable.

If you really want your head to hurt here's a link to my thoughts on accumulation. In the end it's doing your best to keep nutrient levels stable and avoid wild swings. Some plants don't care but many sensitive stems do. Hope that helps.

Accumulation and why it matters
Working on reading now. Thank you Gregg for the link. One question I have. You refer to the dosing levels, but isn't there a target amount you are trying to achieve in the tank? I guess that is what I feel overwhelmed about is there doesn't seem to be a target and a way to know you are hitting your target. When you measure TDS, what is the range you want to see it in? Do you think that will vary greatly from tank to tank?

If I read this right, you have a picture of your storage containers for your RO and you have that dosed before you add it to your tank after a water change. That seems like the best way to keep the macros stable to me.

Yes definitely there is a "target" level. That is whole point of dosing. To bring the nutrients up to your desired number.......and then do your best to keep them there.

And it takes some math and understanding of accumulation to hit and maintain that target.

As to testing I only test every once in a long while. I trust what I am doing and test just to confirm that I see what I expect to see.

And yes I dose directly into my storage tanks so fully dosed water is pumped up to the tank.

This got me thinking. If I am targeting an accumulation of 45-15-60, is there a way to jumpstart a new tank to meet those conditions?

Sure.

With a new tank provide an initial dose based on total water volume to get the numbers up to your target.

After that dose target dose the amount of water replaced during a water change. So if you remove 50 gallons, dose the new incoming 50 gallons to your target.

Do you mean in my links? If so I remember this crept up once before.

I can see them all fine.

@Art any ideas??
Hi, sorry for the late reply.

I’m sure it’s an image optimization issue. As we upgraded the software, they improved the way images are uploaded, optimized and stored. I guess there were some images that didn’t make a smooth transition.

I will see if I can get them to show.
