Announcement Referral Contest - win a $50 eVisa Card!

Word of mouth is the most important way a forum grows. While we appreciate those of you that have already spread the word about ScapeCrunch, we wanted to make it more fun and incentivize you with a sweet reward for doing it.

I'm happy to announce the beginning of our first Referral Contest. The winner will receive a $50 eVisa card. The second and third places will receive trophy points that will be useable on the site in the future.

Contest Rules:

• At least 10 members must participate with at least 1 referral for the contest to officially grant the prize to the winner
• A qualifying referral is defined as a new registered and confirmed member that used the referral link to register with the site during the contest time frame AND that makes at least 1 post on the site
• In case of a tie, winner will be the one that has the qualifying referral first based on date/time of registration
• The prize will be a $50 Visa eCard that is, presumably, usable worldwide
• The contest will end on December 16, 2022

How to enter:

• Each of you will generate your own referral link
  • You can find it on the site Home page in the sidebar on the right
  • Click the "copy" button to copy your personal URL and send it to your friends and contacts
• You can email, share on social media or place the link anywhere you want (please don't SPAM other sites)
• Check the Referral Contests link in the top navigation bar to see where things stand

We are going to pause the referral contests for a while and focus on the discussions at hand and some of the other projects we are working on. However, I think we can bring them back in the future with more prizes for the winners.

I just referred a member from another forum experiencing some algae issues (and subsequent awful advice on how to deal with it).

I'm hoping to see them over here shortly! He mentioned he would check out ScapeCrunch and use the same username.

I no longer have any presence over there - this member was from a different place, but sadly it has fallen to information regurgitation and no real in depth conversation.
