Recently I've been receiving the message “Please wait while your request is being verified” when I click on a couple of my menu items. This started happening fairly recently. It occurs regardless of the browser I use, and on various devices (laptop, phone, etc.).

Ok, I’m glad I’m not the only one with sudden issues!

Yesterday and today I couldn't load the forum at all on my computer or phone.

I tried again today on cellular instead of WiFi, and finally got through after this:

I’m on my phone right now.

What's even more bizarre, is if I turn on WiFi, I can't access scapecrunch.

I tried my computer on cellular hotspot, and I can access it. If my computer is connected to the internet via Ethernet, it can't access scape crunch. Like, somehow my connection via WiFi has been blocked or something lol

@Art any chance something changed recently? Just wanted to bring your attention if you haven't seen this yet. Hope all is well.

I've specifically disabled the Webshield functionality on this domain.

Code:
Our cloud web hosting, semi-dedicated, and reseller web hosting plans utilize Imunify360 WAF (web application firewall) in front of your websites. This protection is enabled by default and includes multiple features meant to protect your website from malware, malicious traffic, bad actors, and much more.

If an IP address is detected as potentially malicious or was found performing activity which triggers the Imunify360 WAF visitors from that IP will be shown the following message temporarily before being redirected to your website:

"Please wait while your request is being verified..."

This message indicates the Imunify360 WAF is ensuring the traffic & request are legitimate before allowing it to hit your website.

I'll be reporting false positives to Imunify360 who provide the feature.

I was having similar issues (only with ScapeCrunch, no other websites) and Ai suggested that I change the dns server on my router to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), which I did and now everything is running just fine.
I do not pretend to have any understanding of these matters, lol!

@Art definitely seems like an issue with DNS settings or related. Not my field unfortunately so I don't know more. I think I've tried everything I can on my end, adjusting network setting for hours, but for whatever reason (or if there was a change recently) Scapecrunch won't accept traffic through my router.

Using a mobile hotspot fixes the issue. Any device connected to WiFi, Ethernet, doesn't work. Changing browsers doesn't work, using a different phone/laptop doesn't work. Only thing that works is getting off my WiFi/network.

I'd like to try @*Ci* 's solution but comcast routers don't allow you to change your own DNS settings, so I can't use a laptop/pc/wifi to visit the forum anymore.

Still, it's good to know that @*Ci* had the same issue, I’m not alone!

I wonder how many others have the same issue, but will think the forums down (like I did) because they don't try cellular or a different network? Hope it gets fixed soon!

You're still having issues? I've not had a poblem today since they disabled the Webshield functionality.

Yes. I've tried 2 phones, 2 computers, and if I’m on WiFi that uses Comcast DNS settings, I can't connect through WiFi or Ethernet under any circumstances.

Brought my phone and laptop to a coffee shop WiFi and it worked.

More importantly, CI found that changing DNS settings, fixed the problem, but that means that something did change on Scapecrunches end recently that is causing this, because my DNS settings have been the same for about seven years now lol

The sudden introduction of the web shield coinciding with this issue for at least 2 users does not feel like coincidence

In your case, I wonder if going through a vpn would work. I didn't think to try that myself before. But ultimately, yes, it's a change with the Scapcrunch host.
Ok, this worked?? Set my location to Paris, France, and I can view on my computer.
Things load a bit slower than I'm used to, but at least this allows computer access.

@Naturescapes_Rocco, have you tried rebooting the router?
I tried that when I was looking for solutions and the site would work for 15-20 min and then stop again. Ai said that it had to do with the router re-finding and blocking the website again after re-booting or something to that effect : )

May times. Tried swearing at it too, that didn't seem to work. Also, I'm sure I made this point earlier, but I REALLY don't think this is the result of something changing from the "client" end of this situation. Nothing has changed on my end, but something changed on Scapecrunch. I can feel it in my nuggets.

I had this problem on my Galaxy android phone last year, unable to log in at all past the Immunify gate.. The Please Hold screen just spun and spun and spun and never advanced. Ultimately the only thing that fixed it was going a different phone browser. Always worked on cellular, never worked on my home router no matter what I did.

Rebooting the router and flushing caches etc didn't work, Firefox browser didn't work, Brave didn't work DuckDuckGo didn't work.. currently coming to you live on the Samsung branded internet browser 🙄🙄

I was getting a brief hold at the Immunify flag on this browser this week too, as late as this morning, but now it has stopped.
