A good effort but needs more thought on plant placement and trimming. Most of the colorful plants are all grouped together so they blend in together. The background plants need trimming and some separation of species and variation of height. With some work could have scored much higher.

This is a very pretty tank. The plants look happy and there's good contrast in color and leaf shape. However, height is an important contrast to have as well. Its where most of the depth effect comes from. Here the background plants are all basically the same height. There lacks a real focal point. Google 'rule of thirds' or 'golden ratio' to learn more about focal points. The Lobelia street could be improved by having it go all the way to the back, and also having a taller species or two beside it along the way would create better depth. Lastly you never want to place similar colors in front of one another. From a visual standpoint, the Florida in the front right corner gets lost in front of the bacopa. Reds look best in front of greens and visa versa.

Nice selection of plants, but they are poorly trimmed and lack composition. Parts of the tank feels new while others are nicely done. Background feel like a wall of equal-height stems.

Suggestions: focus a little more on contrast, tight trimming, and occupying some of the upper reaches of the tank.
