Encouraging Journal longevity: I’ve been perusing old journals lately, and there are plenty of them that are started and then stop. It’s the nature of the beast, life interferes and the journal owner steps away for a long period. A lot of the ones that stop have as the final entry a question or complement from someone reading the journal. Maybe journal owners might answer that final question and even get back to posting in their journal if the default view in scapecrunch would place their unanswered journal question at the top of the list. So the default view for user Fred would be : unread items from journal threads started by Fred, then all the rest of the unread threads. Astute readers will note how rude this suggestion is because…. I don’t even have my own journal thread started!

We are working on a system that will alert Journal owners when they haven't posted in their journals for a while. It will function as a gentle reminder to go and give an update.

Thanks for bringing this up.

However, leaving a post and asking for an update in someone's journal also works.

What's the reminder length? 2 week? 1 month? Something else?

This is awesome and a good idea! However, is there also an option/way for users to opt-out of notifications of this type? Not only for when a tank's life is ended, but in case they don't want the notifications?

(I for one will happily sign up for nudge reminders to update my journals)

Yes, there will be an option for the journal owner to turn it off. Thanks.
