I was introduced to the aquarium hobby in the first grade by my teacher, Mrs. McClure. Since then I have started and finished over 200 aquariums. Teri and I just sold our home as well as my 5 established aquariums and moved into a new home. I'll be starting yet another one from scrath as well as a dedicated space for it.

At 61 years old, this will probably be the start of my last aquarium journey and I want to do something special. I want not to just begin another aquarium, but design an entire aquatic space to feature this new build so there will also be furniture, shelving, painting, lvp flooring, and artwork incorporated into the design. I'm looking forward to share my experience with all of you. To be continued...

Awesome, Joe!

I've moved your post to the Member Tanks forum. Please copy the URL of this thread and add it to the section in your profile called Build Thread. Then save.

You will get a link underneath your name that links directly to your Build Thread. This way, anyone can quickly find your tank and the discussion.

We are putting LVP floors in the house so it will be three to four weeks before I can set up my Waterbox, but I took some time to collect rocks today and do a dryfit of my scape. All of the smaller sticks leaning against the wall will be much taller once strategically place in the soil to create depth and accentuate the 3 quadrant creek path running between the forest. As always, thanks to Glenn Troiano of Manzanitadirect.com for the custom cuts, The Sod Shop for the 28c/lb. Creek Rock, Harry Chen for the inspiration and Tim, the owner of Paver Base who actually picked up the phone to answer my question while looking at this at Home Depot. I'm going to call this tank "Manzanita Creek"
