Definitely less distracting, but I think some will find it more distracting than others. Maybe if each person can decide to turn it on or off themselves? Or if it came on for like 5-20 seconds right when someone comes on and then it turns off?

Unfortunately, those are not options. I can slow the snow down or make fewer snow flakes.

I will leave it off until someone asks, "Where's the snow?!".

I live in the middle of the desert, so I have to be the one to say "Where's the snow?!" I'm missing it

No more snow. I was going to post some nice pics of Christmas moss and wanted to combine it with the snow effect, LOL. Well I'll wait to we get closer to the holidays as you suggested.

Ok, here's an interesting thought...
So @Art - you live in Texas and likely not to see real snow. So pick someone up North, maybe even in Canada. Every morning you look on a weather map - if it's snowing in their area you turn on the snow for the day. Maybe even change their screen title to Snow Man, LOL
Maybe even state that the Snow Man title will go to someone else unless they post a local snow pic
