Interesting, I just noticed the picture on this tc cup I bought. The branching foliage doesn't look like any B japonica I've ever grown.

Interesting, Id say they made a blunder with that image. Blyxa doesnt grow like that

interesting but also curious you brought this up. I got some TC helferi from tropica, had it a few months now and it looks nothing like helferi. I will get a picture. I jsut got some another TC of helferi from sreepadma and it looks like helferi in the cup.

C helferi or P helferi? I bought some P helferi a few weeks ago, and it looks fine, but the leaves are really fat. To be fair though, I've never grown this well. So I might just be seeing it as it should actually be. It looked correct in the cup. I wonder what you have. Curious to see when you get it grown out.

I'm interested in getting some stuff from sreepadma also when the temps get above freezing. I'm in NC! It's not supposed to be like this!! :p

That kinda looks right.... kinda doesn't.
Did you get like a platinum or marbled version? I'm not sure if that exists.

I might have the vendor wrong. The only sreepadma I can find is in India. I was thinking of Cherries. They are a sponsor here, and have some tc Erio quinguangulare I'd like to try.

I ordered mine from cherries he gets sreepadma from India. That was normal p helferi from tropica. Those both exist at least in TC form.
I just looked at mine closely. The older leaves are mostly flat, but the new ones coming out are wavy and like you'd expect from P helferi. Hopefully yours just needs to get going good.
I'll see what this sreepadma looks like after I plant it. There was one plantlet that had new wavy leaves so maybe you are right in it needs more time. I also was unable to grow this in the past.

Regarding your cold weather... I live in Indiana and these arrived in sub freezing temps with no problems.

Oh, duh.... that's where the confusion comes from. OK. I recognized the GrowWow, but... you get it.

I'll try to get a pic when the lights come on.

Never imagined getting a quick phone pic of a plant would be so difficult. The glass kept messing up the focus.
Anyway, you can see here in the red the leaves that look more like yours, and then the newer stuff in blue that is crinkled. I've had these planted almost 4 weeks. I got off to a rough start, but everything is going crazy now.
