I am starting to get sympathetic to the idea Duckweed Spontaneously generates itself…

I have a tank that has had nothing introduced in well over 6 months…



Duckweed appeared seemingly out of nowhere.



Only tank with it.



Yes. I have had it before. Never bought any…



I have not introduced any new plants or occupants to any tank in over 6 months….



How it arrived is beyond me…

I hate duckweed! II was able to get rid of it by religiously skimming it off the top for a few days, and then during a water change wiping the glass at the water line with Excel a few times

I have had it before and gotten rid of it too.

What gets me is not having seen any in this tank for 6 months, not having added any fish or livestock to any tank for 6 months and having it show up on its own….

Sounds like some bits of dried duckweed may have been stuck to a piece of equipment, small enough you didn't see?

Or blown in the window off a passing duck..
