How do you store your heaters?

I plug the heater in between Nov - May, and the rest of the time we don't really need to have the heater on at all. What do you do with your heater? Do you leave them inside your tank? Or take them out, dry them and store it somewhere?

Mine are included in the filters, and they stay there. I just take them out and clean them now and then.

I have one in my sump set to 70F, stays there and kicks on when needed.

My heaters run year round.

Here in Maine it is usually quite humid when it us hot and I cant stand high humidity. I run an air conditioner and a dehumidifier whenever the dewpoint exceeds 65.
