I'd seen videos of this hatchery, but was skeptical about its efficacy. On a whim, and needing to fill out a cart to hit a discount level, I decided to give it a try.

Get one.

Unless you need a substantial amount of baby brine to run a fish room, this little tool works well. A quart of water, 3 tablespoons of salt, and a scoopful of eggs: 16 hours later, I had more than enough to overfeed my fish. The Green Kubotai Rasboras went ape:poop: over them. No fuss, no muss, no air pumps whirring away. Includes a little sieve to harvest the baby brine from the center, with no empty egg casings.

I also love having a simple dish hatchery. It feeds my three small tanks just fine over the course of a couple of days of hatching.

I actually designed and 3D printed one at home because I thought the $30 to $40 they're being sold for is kind of steep for a plastic dish. After I spent time modeling, printing, sealing the plastic, and finding a suitable mesh online for the net, I'm sure I saved lots of money ;)
