I'm a long running member of a different forum, but this one was just recommended to me and I'm excited to join. I'm going to hold off on publishing my journal, because I'll be doing a full re-scape in the springtime once the weather warms up a bit. Just as an example of things to come, here is a pic of the tank as it stands right now...

And spread the word.....we have a lot of folks who came over from TPT, and are fortunate to have to some of the best in the hobby here already.
 
Glad to be here! I found myself in a really peculiar situation, where I didn’t know enough to solve my own problems without help, but I knew more than the average user over there. I got really tired of asking for help on specific things only to have relative newbies give terrible advice and then argue with me on why they were right. I’m really excited to have a great knowledge base available to hold my hand through whatever mysterious issues are bound to come up!

LOL I pull up the site once in a while just to see what is going on. You described it perfectly. The people with the highest number of posts have shown little ability to grow plants. And lots of dubious advice being thrown around.

So far we have a great group of successful people here who are happy to share their thoughts and methods.
