Who’s work is always a vacation?

I spent the Saturday cleaning out 25 feet of a whole house sewer line that was packed solid..

Sunday was spent installing an 80 pound solid wood door on the third floor…

Today I am back at “work” watching my Grandson and teaching him his vowels today and the short vowel sounds…. My “work” is my vacation…

I’m on a road tour for medical testing but carpe deiming it by stoping briefly in a few cities.

Tallahassee, Mobile, New Orleans, Houston (currently) then turning around and heading home. See if we hit a couple more cities.

Oof! What’s harder, the vowel teaching or the door hanging??

Installing the door wears me out. I am having to cut all of the door jambs to accept 1 and 3/4 inch thick door. Originally the door was 1 3/8 that was in there. Coupled with hiking all the tools up and down from basement to the third floor wears me out physically…

5 doors done out of 10….

I am getting 1 done every week. Install new door with new lock and knob and auto door closure on Weekend and on Tuesday install new exterior door weatherstrip and door sweep, stain cut wood areas and varnish them each evening after getting home from spending the day with “Cupcake”.

Teaching Cupcake” is much more rewarding…. It comes with its own challenges…

This morning he said. “I dont want to do schoolwork today. I am not a schoolwork boy,”…

Pepere left him to his own devices for a while and then started playing youtube videos of short vowel sound songs. He raptly watched for 20 minutes. Now he is back playing with nerf guns, but he is singing the short vowel songs…

Pepere is a stealth educator sneaking it in…

We will redirect to do a few workbook pages after he plays a bit…
