Greetings 🙏

Pleasure to be here in this forum. There are already so many great people here.

I've been into fish tanks on and off for years, but I'm only a little over 12 months into the planted tank. What a ride so far I must say.

I am looking forward to speaking with many of you, and picking your brains about your planted tanks.

What an amazing hobby the planted tank is! 😀

Hey Joel glad to see you here. You should start a build thread. I am sure many would like to see how someone newer in the hobby is managing their tank.

Hi Gregg,

I will create a build thread. It would be beneficial to have a place to document the stages of my tank, to learn from and hopefully see the progress.

Whenever I speak with you, I can't help but think of that "rabbit hole" you quote often, it's burnt into my brain now 😆, along with the term "poor maintenance". I've read so many of your comments on social media sites, and have always found them incredibly helpful. It's greatly appreciated that you're willing to share your knowledge to the less experienced in such a respectful way. I'd like to thank you for that.

My build thread would likely contain a lot of questions, in the hope that I could learn from the more experienced. No doubt, it would be a valuable resource for me to learn from, and hopefully to others that are at a similar level.

Thanks again,
Joel 👍

Welcome again, @Joel Armstrong. The Build Thread is one of the most valuable things that a forum like this offers. You can't do that in social media.

It functions as a repository for you to see the stages of your aquarium, functions as a diary (don't underestimate the value of this), and allows your online friends to learn and help you along the way. It really means that a village is helping you have a wonderful aquarium.
