Unplanned mind you, but an action filled late afternoon yesterday with my 17 gallon fish sphere.

No. I am not getting another one…

So, monthly I would remove hardscape and stem plants and rhizome plants and give it a thorough deep cleaning, irrigate substrate and deep water change.

I was replacing the rocks and dinged the edge of the glass.

And that was that….

Fortunately there was little water in it. But I quickly placed remains on floor tiled up to constrain water on one side. Then I saved all the fish I could find on the table cloth and the floor carpet…

Got them in quarantine tank in basement…

Then carefully poured out remaining fish and water from tank into bucket that had dechlorinated water and transferred those into quarantine..

Got plants all into quarantine tanks too.

Get a fish tank they said. It will lower your blood pressure and stress levels…

I had a fair amount of mature well cycled BDBS I added to my 2 Display tanks that had recent substrate change. Let’s see if that knocks down percolating algae issues I have been struggling with…

More clean up today now that fan and dehumidifier has dried everything up.

In another week or two I will build a new stand for a 75 gallon tank to go in the bedroom.

That foolish bowl cost me $130.000…

I will be much happier with a 145.00 75 gallon tank then a replacement sphere.

I did like the sphere with nano fish in it. The sphere magnified them significantly…

If I ever get one again, there will be no rocks in it…
