Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post!! Thanks for the invite!!

I'm trying to grow Erio sp. Ratna emersed. I know that they can make seeds but I'm not really sure on how to pollinate them. I've read online that you'll need to pollinate them with soft brush when you have 4-5 stalks at the same time. But that's about it.

If someone has experience with it, can you please ehelp me understand the process of extracting the seeds and pollination itself.

TIA.

Hi and welcome to ScapeCrunch. Thanks for posting this question. It's one I'm not terribly familiar with.

I have only seen this done with Anubias species and I think there are some videos on this. I suppose the process would be similar with Erio ratna.

Question for you, why are you looking to go through the process of pollination, seed germination, etc? Is it just to learn and experiment with it (cross pollinations, etc.) or are you trying to cultivate them?

Thank you for the reply!!

Yes, I want to learn about it and do it once so that I can add Erios via seeds to my plant resume😂😂

I've checked with my network of people and haven't found too many that have done this. Perhaps reaching out to some of the growers may help like at Florida Aquatic Nursery?
