Announcement Call for Aquarium Plant Database curators

Hi ScapeCrunch family -

In our continuing effort to make ScapeCrunch valuable to you, we've decided to create an aquarium plant database that is updated and contains relevant information for today's hobbyist. As all things with ScapeCrunch, this database is free to all and a labor of love by those hobbyists that want to give something back to the community (pay it forward).

This database will be created and maintained with the help of the entire community so your feedback on particular plant species will be critical. However, to maintain control and the integrity of the information, the database will be curated by a select group of dedicated members. This group will be the Aquarium Plant Database Committee or APD Committee.

The APD Committee will be responsible for:

• Researching the aquarium cultivation and maintenance of each species;
• Uploading and updating the information for each species based on comments and surfacing of new (and confirmed) information; and
• Maintaining an up-to-date listing of confirmed retailers for each species.

If you would like to be part of the APD Committee and can commit to the above, then please contact me privately.

Did you manage to work on this? I can volunteer and start working on gathering plants' data, just let me know what do you need, which data to collect and the format of the data?
