Best Algae scrubbers

I have been rather fond of using white melamine sponges from Aquarium Co Op for cleaning my glass panels..

But I am open to other options. One not needing to immerse my arm certainly has appeal..

I have a few magnetic devices, but they tend to leave residue behind that shows up quicker than when I use the white sponges…

So, what do you all use? What is your favorite algae eraser?

30ppi filter media (sponge) has been working for me. Just test an area to ensure no scratching. I haven't had a problem yet with any scratches, xfingers. Back in the day, they made these floor scrubbers that are flat with protrusions. You simply placed the scrubber on it and got to work. Might be able to find a hand held version for the 30ppi media.

Looked like these, and may be able to use the magic eraser type sponges.

I like my mag floats.

Mag floats and melamine. Melamine really cleans better, but mag float is so friggin convenient. I also recently got one of the mag floats with an attached metal scraper, but didn’t like the scraper bit, so I removed the scraper.

I rubber band a melamine sponge onto a long acrylic(?) tube that I already had. I use it for cleaning the BiOrb and smaller tanks that are awkward to get into with my hands.
