I’m experiencing lower PO4 and it seems to be discussed as well; with aqua soil pulling extra PO4 from the column, should it be dosed in excess or just dose my normal routine? All but 1 plant is doing fine, but 1 is looking like it needs more. Just wait it out or make the adjustment?IMG_0713.webp

The pic is not what low po4 looks like, neither is the purple bacopa behind it. Speaking strictly as if if we know its a nutrient thing, that looks like low no3 or Fe, K is also possible

Low PO4 will hit the big greens first, usually appears as pale/degrading leaves starting about 2-3 nodes down from the top

As to the new soil and PO4 question. I usually dose an extra 10 ppm with every water change, even when doing 2x week in the early stages. Brand new soil will zero that out in just a few days (landen, ada, controsoil are the ones Ive personally seen do this) After about a month it stops taking in so much, at which point I start dosing as usual

I’ll up everything, those are the only two with an issue. I’ve been a bit worried to over do it with the Landen being so new.

The only worry with excess macros is too much will start to make a little gda on the glass. Specifically K and NO3 are most likely to do this, not PO4 (this is not the only cause for gda on the glass, its just normally the first sign when there's too big of an excess)

Copy, this 40 has no visible algae, even on the stunted Ludwigia.
