Hoke hoarder

Why have I never seen anyone set a reg up like this before!?

This is what you can expect when the king of equipment nerds (self-labelled equipment nerd myself) finally gets a journal posted

lol I have 13 hoke needles and a few of those other SS needles that I’ll be testing this weekend. If it works out theses are super low cost and build quality is excellent.

And lol I just bought a MacBook Air so I can better document this tank lol

It'll be a great resource for you personally as well as everyone else. Like right now Im using mine to time certain trimmings and how long it takes to grow back. And just a few months ago I went back to 2019-ish in the old tpt journal to see wth I was dosing when a certain plant was doing good. Im a decent note taker but notes dont come with pictures or much detailed commentary...at least mine dont, lol

As promised the co2, remote tank and wall mounted regulator, is almost done, I will need to do leak test, and cable management next. But here is the set up
The block is from air ride suspension with 6 ports, I blocked 4 of them and mounted the block to the rear cabinet. It is backed by a metal plate behind to make it stronger. I also have the option to put a larger tank outside if I wanted to.
I hope you like it.

Now for those people who don’t understand the purpose of said “block” that the co2 is connected to post tank and pre regulator, can you fill them in? I of course am very aware and extremely knowledgeable but just can’t find the layman’s terms to describe what’s going on here. So if you could sir, please let everyone other than me understand what that’s all about.

I am using that block only for the purpose of a sturdy mounting point to the cabinet. Extra ports are not needed. It came with a plate and I used that plate to reinforce the back side kinda like a large washer.
I wish I thought of this with my other set up because the tank and regulator was too tall. I had to tilt the regulator to fit.

Ah makes sense, I’m in a Similar situation with a 15lb tank that I actually have sitting next to the tank. Not a lot of room underneath when you add a sump unfortunately.

What is the part name for the metal sleeve/tube that allows for "remote" install of the co2 valve/regulator?

I have a big boy 20# bottle and I'm liking this idea.

so first you will need a block like this

and this pipe
Amazon.com

Also for the hose, I had one of these ins the garage. I think the hose is available separate. jusr make sure it will hold 2000psi minimum

you will also need 1/4 NPT plugs, and any other hardware to complete the installaton

Got me through medical school, I'm at >12k notes and I use this thing constantly all day, every day.

Captures articles threads documents pictures from a browser at the click of an icon, or app at the click of a share. Searches on text from pictures, screen captures, PDFs.. it's a library that builds itself.

💯💯💯

So I am tuning my co2 reactor today but using tap water in the tank
I can get up to a 1.6 drop!
Knowing this I feel good when I run 0dkh to get my co2 in check, I want a 1.35 drop in ph
From rested water

I set up my light bar.
I used a 1/2” black pipe with end caps. I drilled and tapped the caps to hold on the week aqua lights m4
The spaced out the lighting holes and drilled those out. I still need to put the lights up but I did put the bar in place. It got ratchet hook so I can adjust height. The wall mount is also pipe to wall ends
I’ll take better photos when I have the lights up
