Thanks, yep you definitely gave me a kick in the rear.Looking very good Jeff! Nice healthy looking stems. I knew if I badgered you long enough it was going to happen.
Very nice good to see other folks who use sand.
Funny how my brain reads 60 (p) and thinks 60 GALLON
Ok, so 17 gallon tank with water and whatever else might weigh 150 pounds. Thats a steel framed stand with an X brace on the back...
Ya, I would have spent way more than $129 plus time building something that would not look nearly as good.
Nice find.
Your tank is running solely on that eheim 2211?Mission accomplished, transferred the tank to the new stand. Took out pretty much all the water except for maybe a gallon or two. No fish only shrimp so didn't have to remove anything, just drained and picked up the tank and placed on stand. Seems really solid, the lower shelves are tall enough for me to place my Eheim and a 5lb tank on it and to run the tubing easily through the open sides. Really happy with it, but if the whole thing comes crashing down, disregard everything I just said.
Going to fine-tune the tank and might add either some Manzanita or Spiderwood I have sitting around just to see what it looks like.

My 60p has a 2213, skier and UV totalling about 1600lph... Perhaps I could back off on the flow lol. I'll see what happens.
2213, skimmer and UV are all separate pumps.Yep, just the 2211. I've been using a small in-tank diffuser on the left side and as long as the eheim on the right side has enough power to squash the bubbles all around for me it's enough in terms of flow and nutrient delivery.
How do you have 1600 lph with a 2213?
Those are freshwater limpets!Does anyone happen to know what these are. Might be hard to make out from the pic, but they are tiny, round and clear. I think it's a type of snail but I don't recall the name.
